The house system is a traditional feature of schools. School is divided into subunits called ‘houses’ and each student is allocated to one house in the moment of the enrolment. Houses may compete with one another at sports and maybe in other ways, thus providing a focus for group loyalty.
The House system inculcates in the students the values of team spirit, commitment, loyalty, sharing and healthy competition. Students are urged to compete with themselves, raising their own excellence bar. Debating competitions and charity drives are also often organised along inter-house lines. Merit points for behaviour and academic achievement may also be totalled up for comparison between houses. Points are awarded to students throughout the year for Co-Curricular Activities, Sports Tournaments & Discipline through Inter House Competitions in Sports, Debates, Quiz, Arts & Music and Prizes/ Trophies are awarded accordingly. At the end of the academic session, the house gaining the highest points is awarded the running trophy. The aim of the House system is to inculcate and develop the qualities of leadership, public speaking & organizational skills among the students through various inter house competitions and school functions.
Total students are divided into four houses:
Its depicts VICTORY. The values given here are that students should have a competitive spirit and should try and win all the tasks given to them. Like they should have a competitive spirit in life.
Its depicts WISDOM which teaches students to be wise and kind to every being on the earth and to treat everyone equally.
Its depicts HONESTY which imbibes in students to do all the given duties with utmost honesty and should not deceive anybody in life.
Its depicts Bravery which inculcates in student that they should not fear any given situation in life and should face all the situation upfront and with utmost bravery.
The Red House Red is the symbol of love, courage, sacrifice, victory and honour. Students of Red House stand strong and united at all times. They are creative and highly talented and this is the secret of their success in various inter house competitions like Basketball, Debate, Face painting and Floral Rangoli. The House people are enthusiastic and achieve their goals, thereby upholding their values always. Students of Red house are known for their togetherness, and face adversities as a team. They are the jacks of all trades performing to the best of their abilities in sports and cultural events.
The Yellow House people are a dynamic, determined and dashing race. Led by a belief that they are more than just “an ordinary group of students”, they truly stand out. Yellow being the colour of the Sun, they are a shining example to the students of the school. Every student of this house is proud indeed to be part of a house that shines with the qualities of perseverance, faith in one another and the ‘never give up’ attitude. Students of the Yellow house are usually described as impeccable, par excellent, dependable, radiant, exquisite and spectacular.
The Green House The colour Green is indicative of elements like nature, fertility and life. It represents growth and harmony and is the colour of the environment, their link to the natural elements of the environment and is natural winners. They are always ready, rearing to go on and achieve always while keeping in mind their goals. The green signal always signifies movement. Students of the Green house are down to Earth, sociable and responsible. All the members are all- rounder and are consistently good performers in academics as well as sports.
The Blue HouseThe students of the Blue House are known for their highly intellectual skills, stability and unity, symbolising the blue colour. The Blue House takes great pride in working for their house and have emerged the winners of the much coveted cup for ‘Best House’, many a time. They are triumphant in many of the co-curricular activities, be it quizzing or sports. Their greatest asset is their confidence and determination. Students of the Blue house possess immense intellectual vitality. They are committed to their goals, and are all-rounders and achievers. Though known for intelligence, they can summon immense courage in other fields as well, as duty calls.
